Lighting manufacturers to present new, smart, sustainable lighting solutions for architects, interior designers, contractors, real estate and infrastructure developers at Light + LED Expo Mumbai

27 Apr 2026

Mumbai, Maharashtra: 27th April 2026: As lighting rapidly evolves from a functional utility into a key element of architecture, energy efficiency and smart infrastructure, Light + LED Expo Mumbai 2026 will bring the industry’s full ecosystem together on one platform. Organised by Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India, the exhibition marks a significant evolution from the earlier LED Expo format, expanding its scope to cover the entire lighting value chain.

The upcoming edition will showcase over 250 exhibitors, 1,000+ brands and more than 6,000 products across 13,000+ sqm of gross exhibition space, with 70+ new product launches expected. The rebranding to Light + LED Expo reflects the industry’s shift towards a broader convergence of technologies including architectural lighting, smart systems, LED innovations and connected solutions.

Expressing his thoughts on this, Mr Raj Manek, Executive Director & Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd, shared: “Light + LED Expo Mumbai reflects the rapid transformation of the lighting industry from standalone products to integrated smart and design-led solutions. The platform brings together lighting innovators with architects, designers and infrastructure stakeholders, enabling meaningful business connections and supporting India’s evolving built environment.”

Today, lighting plays a central role in modern built environments – from commercial offices, hospitality projects and retail spaces to educational institutions, healthcare facilities and industrial infrastructure. Reflecting this shift the exhibition attracts a diverse and decision-driven audience including architects, interior designers, lighting consultants, builders, contractors, real estate developers and infrastructure planners who are increasingly advanced lighting solutions into their projects.

A major focus at the show will be the rapid growth of smart and connected lighting technologies. Manufacturers are integrating sensors, IoT connectivity and intelligent control systems that enable buildings to optimise energy consumption while enhancing user comfort and operational efficiency. Human-centric lighting, automated systems and design-led lighting solutions are also gaining momentum across workplaces, hospitality environments and public infrastructure. The exhibition takes place against the backdrop of strong growth in India’s LED lighting market. The sector valued at around USD 6 billion in 2025, is projected to reach nearly USD 27.8 billion by 2034m driven by urbanisation, infrastructure development, government energy-efficiency programmes and growing demand for sustainable lighting solutions.

Companies showcasing at the exhibition include Indian manufacturers such as Lafit Lighting, ME Products, Lumileds , Hans Lights, Kevin Electrochem, JN Lighting, Kamla Lamps, Power Palazzo, Glitteron, along with several other along with international participants from China, Dubai, Hong Kong, Italy and Korea.

The show will offer a strong, day-wise value-driven knowledge programme designed to address the industry’s present and future needs. Day one will spotlight innovation and inclusivity through the Product Excellence Awards with Women in Lighting, alongside a forward-looking discussion with the International Association of Lighting Designers on how AI is reshaping design and building systems. Day two will turn the focus to sustainable urban development, with the Indian Society of Landscape Architects leading conversations on future-ready nightscapes, complemented by a special panel from the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage exploring the intersection of lighting and cultural preservation. Day three will bring in practical industry frameworks and future technologies with Lighting Association of Commercial & Architectural Market India, covering structured best practices through the ‘6 Ps’ and the shift from conventional LEDs to intelligent lighting systems, delivering actionable insights for professionals across the value chain.
