The co-location of the 31st edition of Gifts World Expo Delhi with the inaugural Paperworld Delhi brought together two established business platforms, creating North India’s first integrated trade fair dedicated to the gifting and stationery industries. The shows significantly broadened the business landscape for both exhibitions. Buyers traditionally associated with gifting, including corporate procurement teams, promotional product companies, wholesalers, distributors, retailers, exporters and e-commerce businesses, gained direct access to stationery, office supplies and paper solutions. At the same time, Paperworld Delhi expanded its reach by attracting professionals from educational institutions, schools, colleges, universities, corporate workplaces, organised retail dealers and stationery distributors, creating new commercial opportunities across both industries.
The business momentum was clearly reflected in the feedback from participating exhibitors, who reported quality buyer interactions, new business enquiries and expanded market outreach across the three-day exhibitions.
Mr Puneet Gupta, Associate Director, Corporate Sales, boAt, stated, “The overall experience of the exhibition has been very nice. For the last two years, I have been following this exhibition, and I have seen that a lot of corporate customers and buyers are coming here, taking interest in the product range. Showcasing products from different brands under a single roof gives you a completely different experience. If I talk about North India, this was something that was missing earlier”.
Another exhibitor, Ms Smita Mathur, Co-founder of Haath Ka Bana, further noted, “It has been a lovely experience being here at Gifts World Expo Delhi. This is our third consecutive year exhibiting here, and I’m very happy with the way the entire fair has been organised. One of the biggest advantages is that the leads generated here are of excellent quality. It is also wonderful to see international visitors attending the expo this year. We look forward to coming back next year with many new offerings.”
Mr Rohit Mathur, Vice President, Luxor Writing Instruments Pvt Ltd, stated, “We have been associated with Paperworld for a very long time, and for the last four years we have been participating in Mumbai as well. However, internationally, we have been present with Messe Frankfurt with their exhibitions in Frankfurt and Dubai. Our experience here has been good; we have received a lot of positive feedback this time in Paperworld Delhi, and we have launched one of our brands here. We have received a very good response; the distribution expansion is helping us grow our footprint, and we thank the organisers. Indian stationery market is growing phenomenally, and as far as B2B sales are concerned, corporate sales are also increasing atleast about two-folds for the last two-three years. We have seen significant contribution coming in from stationery, and we are already on a double-digit growth. Stationery market is growing, which is why you see so much of enthusiasm around Paperworld, and I wish next year the exhibitor number will be far greater than this.”
Mr Nikhil Ranjan, Managing Director, William Penn, further added, “I have been visiting Paperworld in Frankfurt since 2003, and we participated in Paperworld Mumbai a few years ago, and now, we are happy to be a part of the inaugural edition of Delhi. It has been good for us as we have serious and quality visitors. India in general as a market is growing for stationery products as there is a lot of premiumisation which is visible here at Paperworld Delhi, and it has now given a lot of structure and visibility to the exhibitors and visitors to use this platform to showcase their products.”
Complementing the business exhibition was a curated line-up of exclusive attractions that enriched the overall visitor experience. Gift Talks brought together industry leaders and experts to discuss emerging trends, sustainability, branding, digital marketing and evolving consumer preferences. Visitors also explored the Discovery Hub, Entertainment Zone and the Gifts World Trend Zone powered by WGSN, Start-Up & Innovation Hub and Sustainability & Innovation Hub, while Paperworld Delhi featured Creativeworld Trends Showcase, Grand Brush Off, offering creative inspiration and valuable market insights and Paper Talks, insightful sessions on the stationery industry. These knowledge-driven initiatives further strengthened the exhibitions by encouraging industry dialogue, innovation and collaboration on the show floor.
While India’s vibrant gifting culture continues to be deeply rooted in festivals, weddings, and corporate relationships, buyers are increasingly seeking premium products, greater personalisation, sustainable materials and design-led innovation. Similarly, demand across the stationery sector is evolving beyond conventional office supplies towards smarter, creative and higher-quality products that cater to modern education, hybrid workplaces, corporate branding and professional use. The combined platform responded to these changing requirements by presenting one of the country’s most comprehensive cross-category sourcing destinations. Reflecting these changing market dynamics, the co-located exhibitions brought together varied products, brands and buyers, creating valuable opportunities for sourcing, business and networking.
The strong response from exhibitors and visitors reinforces the growing importance of Gifts World Expo Delhi and Paperworld Delhi as business platforms that continue to connect the industry and support its evolving needs. The shows are jointly organised by MEX Exhibitions Pvt Ltd and Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India Pvt Ltd.
