To achieve circularity in construction the design, material, implementation, phase, operations and for maintenance these parameters must be considered. Finally, when the project is over, the material should be such that the recycling and circularity can be achieved and the loop is closed. So you have to start with sustainability as an accepted and an agreed upon principal for laying down the infrastructure. He also stressed upon other important quality parameters like maintenance and resilience which are essential for the lifespan of the projects.

Present at the inauguration, Mr Vinay Kumar Singh, Managing Director, National Captial Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), shared views on the upcoming projects like the regional rapid transit system (RRTS). “With a system like this there will be reverse migration. Because if you move at a system at a speed of 80-90km per hour which will be 4-5 times of average road speed of cars, so people will like to move outside of Delhi. We building fast transit, safe transit and reliable transit which will lead to decentralization of the economic activity and create jobs across the deep into the hinterland of the state. A project like this will lead to lesser congestion, lesser pollution and develop other areas as well.”
