Distinguished as the leading Indian trade fair brand for indoor and outdoor advertising and signage solutions, Media Expo recorded an increase in participation of its recently concluded Delhi edition as well as attracted leading players for the Chennai edition, months in advance. The fair has now been rescheduled following recent discussions and consultation with key stakeholders who have been associated with Media Expo for years. A new date for the debut edition is expected to be announced, in due course.
Mr Raj Manek, Executive Director and Board Member of Messe Frankfurt Asia Holding Ltd. said: “Messe Frankfurt works closely with the industry to ensure our platforms represent what the Indian market requires. The decision to launch Media Expo in Chennai was thus based on the strategic feedback and support of our key exhibitors, who have now communicated a sudden change in their strategies. It is not an easy decision, but one we feel we must make to avoid compromising on the scale and standard of a Messe Frankfurt exhibition.”
The fair’s growing prominence among the corporate world and its expanding reach has already attracted renowned exhibitors for its editions in Mumbai (23 – 25 February 2017) and Delhi (22 – 24 September 2017) which will go ahead as scheduled.
For its 40th grand edition in Mumbai, the organisers now intend to concentrate efforts on covering the target sectors from the south; ensuring exhibitors will have the opportunity to meet business prospects from this significant and important region. The organisers also believe that the rescheduled dates will benefit the exhibitors by bringing a larger and more targeted participation from trade visitors and professionals when the industry can come together in Chennai.
