Welcome to Watertech | Wastetech | Cleantech India

National summit on water, waste water treatment, solid waste management & solar energy

India being among the most populated countries in the world and the fastest growing major economy today generates humongous amount of waste, apart from being among the largest consumers of water and energy.

Ecologically sustainable and environmentally responsible development have therefore gained prominent attention in policy matters as well as public discourse.

Government’s ambitious projects such as “Swachh Bharat Mission” (Clean India Mission) and “National Mission for Clean Ganga” are set to stimulate adoption of scalable, sustainable and cost-effective technologies and solutions in waste water and sewage treatment, industrial effluent treatment and solid waste management.

All of these open up enormous opportunities for modern technologies and solutions.

In a country like India it is high time we start investing and adopting sustainable technology in Waste Water and Solid Waste Management. The Watertech Wastetech Summit is a positive step that can enable policy makers and technology players to learn from each other and work together.

– Sh. Kapil Mishra, Minister for Water, Government of NCT of Delhi

It is essential to implement sewage treatment technologies at generation level rather than setting up large scale treatment plants.Events of such nature encourage acceptance of sustainable technologies and help sector players understand the best way forward.

– Mr. Sanjiv Kumar, I.A.S., Secretary (Environment & Forest) Govt. of NCT of Delhi

I was happy to see a lot of exhibitors presenting technologies for solid waste and wastewater management under one roof. This will certainly help heavy industries choose the right kind of products for long-term business and environment sustainability.

– Mr. V. K. Chaurasiya, Joint Adviser (PHEE) & Project Director, National Mission on Sustainable Habitats

By providing perspectives of different participants, this Summit can play an important role in sharing intelligence with respect to proven technologies and case studies. It can turn into a great opportunity to bring in more local bodies and discuss what they have done in the last year and what can be done to further improve situation thereby achieving the Clean India mission at a holistic level.

– Dr. Kulwant Singh, Advisor, Urban Basic Services, United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat)

I congratulate Messe Frankfurt for organising Watertech and hope it will act as an important knowledge sharing platform in advancement and sustainability of technology for water management systems.

– Sh. Bharatsinh Solanki, Former Minister of State, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Govt. of India

Watertech is a platform that will allow stakeholders in the sector to share information, ideas and allow access to new technologies we would like to introduce in India.

– Mr Pankaj Jain, Former Secretary, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India
